Planting High Impact Churches What is a High Impact Church? According to Dr. Linus Morris, President of Christian Associates International (CAI) and author of The High Impact Church, healthy churches are "high impact churches." Morris says that there are five measurable criteria for a high impact church: Life Transformation: Are lives being transformed by Christ? Vision Transformation: Are members committed to the Great Commission, active in a cell groups, praying worshipping and reading scripture regularly, stewarding time, energy and money to the cause of Christ, witnessing and seeking to reproduce new Christians? Growth: God's charge to the church is to grow and be fruitful. Growth is not the goal of a high impact church, but it typically occurs. The high impact church grows up as it embraces spiritual truth; it grows together as Christians care for one another; and it grows out as its members live as Christ's witnesses in the world. Multiplication: The high impact church multiplies ministers, ministries and leaders. Reproduction: The high impact church sends trained and equipped people out to extend the kingdom by planting new sister and daughter churches. Finally, Morris says that a high impact church is "purpose centered, values driven, and vision directed.
